NO CHANGE IN TYKES’ STYLES

CALLUM STYLES insists Barnsley will maintain a high-energy game.

The Tykes scrambled a 1-0 win against Coventry on Saturday, with keeper Brad Collins saving Viktor Gyokeres’ stoppage-time penalty.

Midfielder Styles (above) said: “Every player has to bring a high amount of energy to the game.

“We want to press high, we play at a high intensity and we want to run over the opposition.

“The manager hasn’t got us playing massively differently to last season, but he does want us to try to be braver and play through the lines more.

“It was very direct at times last season. But he wants us to still be winning games. That’s the key.

“We’ll do whatever it takes to get a victory, whether that’s by passing through teams, or going long.

“Our defending has been solid in all three games so far, which is a massive plus.”
