HOLLY & PHIL BRANCH OUT
ITV’s This Morning buys woodland to help save planet
EXCLUSIVE AS she prepares to present This Morning today from a forest the show has bought, Holly Willoughby has talked about going green.
She said being a parent has made her more motivated to do her bit.
Holly told the Mirror: “You live and learn so much, but I particularly feel a responsibility because I have three kids.
“The kids are really hot on it. They learn about it at school and they want to be environmentally friendly.
“At home we do an awful lot of it. I think most people now want to do as much as they can.
“It’s getting easier to do it because it’s becoming second nature.”
On the way, things change for the better, Holly, 40, added: “It wasn’t that long ago we were using face wipes and make-up wipes and things like that. You can get biodegradable face wipes now.”
She will be joined by co-host Phillip Schofield as the ITV show is broadcast live from the forest.
He explained how cross he gets about excess packaging at supermarkets.

Phillip, 59, said: “I went to buy some stuff the other day, and the only... tomatoes were the ones in plastic.
“I looked and it said ‘not currently recyclable’ and I wanted to yell, ‘Why sell them in something non-recyclable?’.”
He added he has kitchen and toilet roll made from bamboo, joking: “It’s hard because you have to fight the pandas off who are going to the loo.”
This Morning bought the forest to help the environment. Bosses said that by investing in the woodland they have saved wildlife and hundreds of trees.
It has been described as the biggest project in the show’s 33-year history.
The exact location of the forest has not been revealed but the hosts said it is an ancient woodland of several acres.
Viewers have had a sneak preview courtesy of presenter Julia Bradbury, 51.
She said it is home to deer, rabbits, and other wildlife, as well as different plants including bluebells and foxgloves.
This Morning is live from the forest from 10am today on ITV and ITV Hub.
