Tough call, but the Robins are rocking and really BELIEVE

- JAMIE

THERE probably wasn’t anybody outside Hull KR’s dressing room that thought they could win at Warrington on Friday.

But those inside believed it – and the play-off experience of coach Tony Smith and his assistant Danny McGuire has rubbed off on the team (above), who produced a magnificent performance.

That makes their trip to Catalans difficult to call because the Robins have some real momentum now after investing so much energy into a great result.

They will believe that if they can win at Warrington, they can go and beat Catalans.

Jordan Abdull has been sensational for Hull KR, he has bucketloads of talent and each season in Super League he’s been getting more and more out of that. I like Mikey Lewis alongside him. He’s spiky and tenacious and, if he can carry on developing alongside Abdull, they could be running the team for the next four or five years.

The other ingredient in the mix is that Ryan Hall (above) has been named in the squad, despite a recent bicep injury.

He’s a proven winner, has been a factor in successful teams and, if he plays, he will lift everyone’s confidence around him.

Catalans have been consistent for the last two seasons now under Steve McNamara, something that always eluded the club before he arrived.

Now it’s about turning into big match winners as well and they showed they can do that with their thrilling comeback win over St Helens at Magic Weekend.

James Maloney and Sam Tomkins have stepped forward to guide them, but it’s not just about them playing well – the other players in the team need to understand the need to crank the intensity up, too.

I think Hull KR will fire out of the blocks and could be ahead at half-time, but Catalans can win a tight game... eventually.
