Man stabbed as 50 brawl

ARMED police were called after a man was stabbed during a 50-person brawl outside a village hall.

He was taken to hospital by air ambulance with lifethreatening injuries.

A National Police Air Service helicopter was rushed to the scene.

A spokesman said no arrests had been made but officers were carrying out detailed inquiries.

Locals were told they were not at risk after the incident on Wednesday night in Southwick, Wilts.
