WARWICKSHI­RE are on the verge of securing a second trophy inside a week.

Bad light halted their charge on the third day of the Bob Willis Trophy at Lord’s with Lancashire 171-6 in their second innings, still 269 runs adrift. Warwickshi­re were dismissed for 518 with captain Will Rhodes (left) finally out for 156.

Rhodes lifted the County Championsh­ip trophy just seven days ago.

Paceman Liam Norwell said: “We’ve just got to keep putting in the hard yards and hope the weather allows us to take four more wickets.”
