ETEBO BLOW STINGS THE HORNETS

WATFORD boss Xisco Munoz has confirmed midfielder Peter Etebo will be sidelined until next year with a thigh injury.

The Nigeria star (above) tore a quad muscle towards the end of the draw with Newcastle after coming on as sub. Etebo, who joined on loan from Stoke, is expected to be out for between four to five months.

Munoz said: “I am very sad about this. It is always a problem when one of our players has a big injury.”

Etebo is also expected to miss the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
