CRYSTAL PALACE have promised to investigate claims Brighton players were spat on and had coins thrown at them after Monday night’s clash. Brighton earned a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park when Neal Maupay (above) equalised in the 95th minute. Players clashed at the end of the game, and as Brighton’s players walked off the pitch, there were allegations they were spat on, and that coins and drinks were thrown. Palace said: “If we find evidence of unacceptable behaviour, we will take necessary action.”
