MY AMAZING ARTWORK
Inspired by nature on moonlit nights, Annemarie Battle’s stark outline of a tree against the clouds has a dreamlike quality to it.
The 55-year-old, who lives in Mossley, Greater Manchester, says: “I’m lucky to live in a beautiful part of the country surrounded by rolling hills, close to Saddleworth Moors.
“I love to work with soft pastels, gouache paint and ink. I graduated from art college in the mid-80s and went on to work as a surface pattern designer for several years, but now I’m a support worker in complex care. When I get free time, I like to upcycle furniture with my own surface pattern designs, but my dream is one day to have my illustrations published in a book.” If you are an amateur artist or photographer, send your work, selfie, age and location, and tell us what inspires you to siobhan.mcnally@mirror.co.uk
