WATT A HOT TOY

Just before Christmas, Toyota unveiled an incredible line-up of 15 electric concept cars, many of which could well see production.

Among them was a yellow mid-engined roadster which I hope makes the cut. The car is fully electric and was one of two sports cars in the display that included a pick-up and minivan.

Toyota has provided barely any details of the car, but from the size and styling it could be a spiritual successor to the MR2, a car that Toyota has often talked about replacing.

This will be one to watch over the next few years.
