TREAD THE BOARD

The 1920s ‘board track’ racing bike styling of this machine is very cool. It’s the Maeving RM1 electric motorcycle and is the brainchild of a group of engineers who are predominantly ex-Triumph – so they know their way around a bike.

The clever bit is that it features a removable battery so you can take it inside your house to charge from a 13 amp socket. Better still, when you buy the £4,995 machine you can order an extra battery for £950 which means you can have one on charge while you’re out riding.

The company quotes a range from between 40-80 miles and a top speed of 45mph.
