KONSA IS ON REDS ALERT

EZRI KONSA believes Aston Villa can give Manchester United more headaches.

Villa won 1-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League in September, return for an FA Cup tie on Monday and host the Reds in the league the following Saturday.

Wolves inflicted United’s first loss under Ralph Rangnick on Monday and Konsa wants to add to their woes, despite Villa’s successive defeats. “We have them twice so we’ll be focused on them,” said the defender. “We will see what happens there. We need to go back to the training ground, go back to being hard to beat. If we do that I think we will get results against United.”

Asked about facing United twice in six days, Villa boss Steven Gerrard said: “I’m excited, I just hope my players feel the same way. We need to react and find some of the grit we had in the earlier fixtures because it seems to have been missing in the last two.”
