Everton looking Sharp
EVERTON legend Graeme Sharp has been appointed as a non-executive director of the club.
Chairman Bill Kenwright revealed the Toffees’ 159-goal post-war record scorer (above) will support football operations and “challenge” in areas where he can offer expertise.
Sharp - who won two league titles, an FA Cup and a European Cup Winners’ Cup with Everton - is not a direct replacement for former director of football Marcel Brands, but will act as a channel for boss Rafa Benitez in his dealings with the board.
Kenwright said: “We were determined to have someone join with not only great knowledge of Everton but also extensive football insight and experience.”
