‘Horse kick’ film woman set for trial
THE woman who was filmed apparently hitting and kicking a horse has appeared in court.
Former teacher Sarah Moulds is accused of two animal welfare offences.
Moulds, 37, indicated at Boston magistrates court in Lincolnshire she intends to enter not guilty pleas.
The case has been sent to crown court for trial.
It is alleged Moulds, of Somerby, Leics, caused unnecessary suffering to a pony called Bruce by “kicking and hitting” him and that she failed to take reasonable steps to protect him from pain, suffering, injury or disease.
The RSPCA investigated after footage was taken near Gunby, Lincs, in November when Moulds was participating in the Cottesmore Hunt.
