PREM COVID CASES CONTINUE TO DROP

- BY JOHN CROSS

PREMIER League bosses have announced Covid cases have fallen again.

There were 11 positive results from 1,947 tests of players and staff between Monday January 24 and Sunday January 30.

That is a drop from 16 the previous week and continues to be on a downward trend from the record high of 103 recorded between December 20-26.

Prem chiefs have also revealed that 80 percent of Premier League of players have been double jabbed which is above the national average.

That also represents an increase on the numbers released last week and compares well to the NHS vaccination rate of 74.2 percent for 25-29 year olds.

The average age of a Premier League player is 27.1.
