Rich pickings
I don’t see why people want to go back to the past with series such as Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age. All they do is make an old rich Tory even richer, ie their creator Lord Julian Fellowes. These eras were only good if you weren’t poor or ill.
Programmes about rich people living in big mansions being waited on hand and foot by servants do not appeal to me. Surely, we should be looking forward not back? I’m sure Fellowes has enough money to keep him in the style he’s used to.
