Victims of Savile fury at PM slur
MANY victims of Jimmy Savile are “appalled” by Boris Johnson’s Commons slur against Keir Starmer.
The PM lashed out at the Labour leader in a debate on lockdown parties in Downing Street, accusing him of failing to prosecute paedophile Savile in 2009 when he was head of the prosecution service.
Slater and Gordon lawyer Richard Scorer said many victims feel Mr Johnson used them to climb out of a “political hole”.
He said: “[The victims] are universally appalled and disgusted by those remarks and want him to apologise.”
He added the accusations against Mr Starmer are “completely untrue”.
