Mod is a marvel in medical drama

Ambika Mod is an actress to watch out for, according to the people she worked with on new comedy drama This is Going to Hurt, which starts on Tuesday.

In her first major role, Ambika plays junior doctor Shruti, who is trying to learn from her beleaguered boss, Adam, played by Ben Whishaw.

Director Lucy Forbes says Ambika “smashed it”. Lucy says: “Her and Ben together are absolutely electrifying.” Ben is also a fan, saying: “She’s amazing.” But Ambika credits Ben with making her “the best I have ever been”.

She says: “I just want to work with him again, on everything I ever do.” Wow.
