HARRY CORNICK came off the bench to pile more misery on Swansea boss Russell Martin.

The Swans dominated possession but failed to score for the third game in a row, while the Hatters made it 17 points from the last 24 to edge nearer the play-off places.

Cornick’s eighth goal of the season came seven minutes after he came on to replace Danny Hylton. He injected pace and purpose up front with fellow sub Cameron Jerome.

Veteran Jerome found the ball down the right channel and managed to square it towards Cornick (above) in the area and he ran onto it and finished sweetly in the top left corner. James Bree swung in a teasing free-kick to give Hylton Luton’s best chance of the half just before the break, his header from the six-yard box just clearing the bar. Swans’ Ben Cabango headed against the woodwork from Hannes Wolf’s cross before Cornick had the final word.
