BLUES STILL INTENT ON RAID FOR JULES

- BY PAUL BROWN

CHELSEA will push to sign Jules Kounde in the summer whether they lose any of their defenders or not.

There is growing confidence that a £42million bid could be enough to bring the Sevilla star in.

Chelsea did not go back for France international Kounde (right), 23, after seeing an offer rejected last summer.

Sevilla refused to do business, with Chelsea unwilling to go near the £60m pricetag, a decision taken despite uncertainty over the futures of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta.

Chelsea look set to lose at least one of them in the summer, with the trio out of contract and yet to agree new deals.

Chelsea have signed striker Mason Burstow from Charlton. The 18-year-old will be loaned back to the League One side for the rest of the season.
