Our verdict: The latest ONS data showed that the UK overall has had the first fall in life expectancy in 40 years. Researchers recently found a man living in Kensington and Chelsea is expected to live 27 years longer than one in Blackpool.

The Health Foundation says the Government “faces a massive challenge”, with funds needed to tackle smoking, obesity and NHS improvement.
