I’m writing regarding the letter from the young woman who bumped into her sister’s ex and wondered if she should go on a date with him (Dear Coleen, Jan 26).

She should have a chat to her sister first about her thoughts. She may find her sister isn’t bothered and tells her to go for it.

But if she is upset by it, then she knows not to go there, and could reassure her sister of that, too.
