Jab pioneer Margaret in 4th injection
THE gran who became the world’s first person to get a Covid vaccine has had her fourth dose.
Margaret Keenan, 92, is one of two million people to get their spring booster.
Mrs Keenan, a former jewellery shop assistant from Coventry, who only retired five years ago, said: “I feel I will be better protected.”
The spring booster campaign began in England on March 21 but two-thirds of over-75s are yet to have a fourth jab.
Anyone 75 and over who is around six months on from their most recent jab is being invited to get a fourth dose of vaccine.
The Office for National Statistics said infection rates dropped last week after reaching a pandemic peak at the start of April.
