Bale golf bar gets a green light to open
FOOTBALLER Gareth Bale has been given the go-ahead to open a bar featuring two crazy golf courses inside.
The Real Madrid star, 32, can now open a second branch of Par 59, in Bristol’s Harbourside area.
Police dropped their objections after planned closing times were changed to 12.30am on Friday and Saturday and 11.30pm other nights.
Local councillor Steve Pearce agreed that the venue would be “primarily” used for indoor golf.
The Cardiff venue of Par 59 opened on March 18.
Its website calls it “home to a premium bar, independent kitchen, space for laid-back, casual dining, and two customdesigned mini-golf courses boasting nine holes each”.
