Trooper prop to spark Star bidding Wars

- BY JAMES PODESTA

AN extremely rare original Stormtrooper helmet from the first Star Wars film could be yours for £460,000.

The white plastic prop was one of just six made for 1977 blockbuster Episode IV: A New Hope.

It was worn by the Trooper whose famous last words were “Stop that ship! Blast ’em!” before Han Solo gunned him down.

The helmet was plucked from a skip by a crew member after filming had finished and is one of only two known to still exist.

Joe Maddalena of Heritage Auctions in of Dallas, Texas, said: “Without question, this is one of the most important pieces from the Star Wars franchise to ever come to auction.”

The sale takes place over the weekend of July 18-19.
