Susan

At 92, a relic of a bygone age, It’s nice to read your Corner page, Art and poems I like too,

So I’m sending one for you.

Just to fill my passing day, At my age, I’ve lots to say, Here’s a poem penned by me, I know a Susan, luckily,

I hope all will have one too, A carer, just like my Sue.

Do you have a Susan?

I do so hope you do, Always there to help you, And do lots of things for you.

She’ll take you to the doctors, And to the clinic too, Nothing’s too much trouble, For people like our Sue.

She’s had a very busy job, And a family too,

But still she finds time to care, For people like me and you.

Please give thanks for Susans, You’ll find them everywhere. Thanks and give three rousing cheers, Bless them for their care.
