A host of famous faces will be entertaini­ng guests on this summer’s sailings from Southampto­n on board Princess Cruises’ Enchanted Princess.

The celebrity line-up includes Charlie Ross from Antiques Road Trip, Cliff Parisi (Call the Midwife), Nina Wadia (EastEnders), royal broadcaste­r Jennie

Bond and TV presenter Andrea McLean as part of Princess Cruises’ Encounters with Discovery at SEA series.

Pop star Gareth Gates and West End singer Phillip Browne, who played Mufasa in The Lion King, will also perform onboard the 3,660-passenger ship.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebratio­ns will take place onboard between June 2-5, with a Royal Variety show and dinner, with guests asked to dress in red, white and blue.

Demand for river cruises has trebled since the start of the year compared to 2019, according to cruise specialist cruise.co.uk.

Tony Andrews, cruise.co.uk’s deputy MD, said: “With the opportunit­y to travel into the heart of multiple eye-catching destinatio­ns, river cruises are a fantastic option.”
