LENNOX LEWIS claims the only fighter who can beat Tyson Fury is himself.

Lewis (right) feels complacency is Fury’s biggest danger in his all-British world heavyweight title clash with Dillian Whyte at Wembley tonight because he has beaten everyone he has faced.

“Always, always,” said the last undisputed world heavyweight champion.

“I always say, ‘Who can beat Tyson at this point after the Deontay Wilder fight?’ I’ll tell you who – Tyson.

“If he’s not focused, if he’s too relaxed, if he puts his chin out, these are recipes for disaster.

“It has happened before when he’s been put down and it can happen again. There are a lot of different factors involved in the fight. He’s a big guy, he may choose to box on the outside or the inside. “But if he boxes inside there are always risks and you have to watch out for the risks.“Tyson can come out any way he wants. He can come out and go forward, he can come out and go backwards, he can move around the ring. That’s the type of boxer he is.” Lewis can see parallels between tonight’s showdown and his world heavyweight title win over Frank Bruno at the old Cardiff Arms Park in 1993. That was the last time two Brits contested the WBC crown on our shores and Lewis admits Bruno was the fans’ favourite as Fury is now.

Lewis feels Whyte has missed a trick in not telling the public his story by refusing to take part in the promotion until this week because he was unhappy with his 20 percent share of the purse.

“With me and Frank, it was about who were you for,” said Lewis.

“Most people were for Frank, he was over here, a lovely guy, everyone liked him. I’d come over after the Olympics, I was young, voracious and ready for battle, and it was basically the old and the new.

“I said once we fought they would be able to see who the better one was. There were a lot of questions around me and I answered them.

“Now I don’t know who’s giving Whyte advice. I would have told him to do the Press, no matter what was going on, because people need to know about the struggles he’s been through.”
