POTTER: NO PARTY FOR STAYING UP
BY CHRIS HATHERALL BRIGHTON boss Graham Potter says there is no need for a party just because his team have beaten the drop.
But he is keen for fans to celebrate a home win tomorrow.
Albion head into the weekend sitting in the top 10 and chasing their best finish in the top flight.
It’s a bit different from previous seasons when the Seagulls had to battle to stay above the bottom three, but Potter (above) is too ambitious to allow a knees-up just yet. “I’m not in favour of parties when you still have five games to play and things to fight for,” he insisted. “There is a pride, a satisfaction, when you have enough points to stay up. But we’re ambitious and we want to keep moving forward. “What I’d like on Sunday is for our supporters to celebrate a win and a good performance. That would be fantastic.” Brighton are without the suspended Yves Bissouma but Leandro Trossard hopes to be back after missing the defeat at Manchester City because of illness.
