GERRARD: I AM NOT HAPPY BEING A LOSER

-

DAVE ARMITAGE SERIAL winner Steven Gerrard says losing is a habit he does not intend getting used to.

Aston Villa have lost four games in a row – and Gerrard (right) is hellbent on ending his team’s current barren run.

His glittering playing career with Liverpool and England was followed by a successful managerial debut at Rangers.

Losing games came rarely in any kind of stretch, and the Villa boss said: “In front of the cameras I try to be balanced but, no, I don’t like losing.

“If I said I was OK with it then I would be telling lies. Losing four games is not good enough.

“It wasn’t always rosy at Liverpool and as captain I had to lead from the front, and it was the same at Rangers.

“I knew it wasn’t going to be any different here. I knew it wouldn’t all change overnight. “But our form is not sitting well with me and makes me determined to prove I can work in these situations even more.”
