STOKE boss Michael O’Neill will miss QPR’s visit after having hip replacement surgery.
Assistant manager Dean Holden and firstteam coach Rory Delap will take the reins.
The Stoke boss, 52, (right) was due for an operation last summer but delayed it to oversee his side’s pre-season.
The problem, however, has become worse since, with O’Neill admitting: “It’s been quite sore.
“I should have had the operation in pre-season but I delayed doing it as I didn’t think my hip was sore enough.
“Unfortunately from October onwards it’s been quite sore and certainly the last few months it’s been very sore.”
