Tasha’s ear to show her power
This is who I am, take it or leave it. If you don’t accept it, it’s your loss TASHA GHOURI ON HER APPROACH TO DATING
Threesomes, wild Dubai drinking sessions and an unspeakable nickname, estate agent Andrew Le Page looks ready to stir up the villa.
The 27-year-old says he wants to settle down and find a girl he can bring home to meet his parents – although, they’ve met quite a few creeping out the front door after a wild night. And his dad once walked in while he was, er, entertaining a lady. “We haven’t spoken about it,” he grimaces.
Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri says her cochlear implant is her “superpower”, and men find it attractive.
The trailblazer, 23, is determined to inspire young deaf viewers with her appearance on the show, which she says is a “big statement” by producers.
Tasha adds: “This would be a great opportunity to go and sh ow th e younger generation, ‘Don’t be afraid to date, don’t be afraid to find love because of what superpower you’ve got’.
“I really hope that this will bring so much positivity and hope to a lot of people’s lives and give them that confidence. Watching me on the screen, I hope that they can be like, ‘Wow, she’s doing what I want to be doing’.”
Yorkshire lass Tasha’s ASOS modelling campaign went viral last year after she proudly displayed her implant, which she got aged five. She said: “I don’t call it a disability.
“It’s a word that doesn’t describe me. I think because I’m so confident about it, I think [men] find that attractive. I’m like, ‘This is who I am, take it or leave it. If you don’t accept it that’s your loss’.”
■ Love Island starts Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
