When I’m 64 (and 192 months) Friday

-

The Beatles legend that is Sir Paul McCartney turns the big 8-0 this weekend. And Liverpool is doing a lot more than a quick office whip-round. There’s a Sir Paul-themed afternoon tea, art displays, the rebranding of “Macca” Bingo, a huge birthday party with a soundalike at The Cavern Club, and yesterday the National Trust even gave four young unsigned musicians the chance to perform live from Sir Paul’s childhood home. Helping Paul pay it forward was the perfect idea for a touching birthday present. Because what can you buy for a multi-millionaire superstar and knight of the realm? I suppose, for those who prefer a comedy gift, there is one thing they could give him that won’t break the bank: Wings.

But unfortunately not his band back together. Just a can of Red Bull.
