Tough-guy Tom Thursday
He’s famous for being Hollywood’s Mr Nice Guy. But mess with his wife and Tom Hanks will snap.
Footage emerged on Thursday showing the couple trying to walk through New York when they were rushed by wayward fans, who in turn pushed another of the crowd into Tom’s wife, Rita Wilson.
She stumbled, and it’s fair to say Hanks went from mildmannered nice guy to somewhere just short of Will Smith at the Oscars, quicker than he went from a kid to an adult in Big.
He (rightly, I should add) raged: “My wife? Back the f*** up! Knocking over my wife?!” – with a steely look more suited to his latest character, the controversial Colonel Tom Parker in forthcoming movie Elvis.
To be fair, they got off lightly. Someone else might have given them a (Forrest) thump.
