Sheen: My dud films
I did 90% for the cash and turned down Godfather
MARTIN Sheen says nine out of 10 of the films he has starred in are rubbish.
The Hollywood veteran, 81, has been in more than 100 movies in 70 years and said he did most just for the money.
He also said he regrets having turned down parts in blockbusters including REGRETS Martin Sheen The Godfather and Blade Runner. Sheen listed Francis Ford Coppola’s 1979 Vietnam classic Apocalypse Now and 1973 Terrence Malick crime drama Badlands as the “main two” he is proud of. The others are Wall Street, The American President, The War At Home and Gandhi.
The father of four – whose real name is Ramon Antonio Gerardo Estevez – said: “I am proud of just a handful of them. I would say 90% of it was basically trash.”
