Children to be housed at hostel in Rwanda
RWANDA’S asylum hostel is making preparations to accept children.
The 50-room centre in Kigali is building a sports pitch and will bring in toys if any youngsters arrive.
Hope House manager Elisee Kalyango said the centre “will handle people from any age”.
He said the sports facilities “will give support to kids and if we have them, we’ll put toys down there”.
No10 has not ruled out sending children to Rwanda if they are with their parents.
A spokesman for Boris Johnson said: “We prepare for all eventualities and you
can see we have prepared properly.”
But Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper blasted: “For them now to include vulnerable children is sinking to a new low.”
The Mirror was given a tour of the hostel by manager Elisee, who said: “It’s like a hotel.
You have free movement.”

MP Chi Onwurah, who also toured the facility, said she objected to the “morality and cost”, not the hostel itself.
The first removal flight was blocked by a court ruling.
