Everard vigil case involves 6 Met officers
THE Met Police will call six officers to give evidence at a trial of a woman accused of breaching Covid laws by attending a vigil for murdered Sarah Everard.
Vivien Hohmann is one of six people prosecuted following a gathering on Clapham Common, South London, in March last year.
The 20-year-old, from Clapham, appeared for a case management hearing at City of London magistrates court yesterday.
A trial was set for early October at Westminster magistrates court.
The policing of the spontaneous vigil, following the murder of Sarah, 33, by PC Wayne Couzens, 49, was heavily criticised.
A planned socially distanced event got called off as organisers faced £10,000 fines.
