Sneering Farage’s specialist subject
Nigel Farage took offence (rare, I know) at Gary Lineker’s off-the-cuff claim that when he was at school, due to having dark colouring, he suffered from a form of racist abuse. “Oh please. I know you suffer from guilt, but this is simply ridiculous,” tweeted Farage, clearly annoyed that anyone should enter his specialist field of racial abuse without his consent.
Maybe HE was suffering from guilt, thinking back to his public school days where a teacher claimed young Farage held “neo-fascist views” and had “marched through a quiet Sussex village shouting Hitler Youth songs”.
You should feel relieved you went to a normal school in Leicester, Gary, rather than Dulwich College.
You might have met some real racists there.
