Turning a blind eye to reality of Brexit
There are many reasons to be glad you buy the Daily Mirror, and here’s another one.
This week, on the sixth anniversary of the EU referendum, we told of a study by the Resolution Foundation and the London School of Economics which calculates that Brexit has made the UK less competitive and will thus “contribute to weaker wage growth, with real pay set to be £470 per worker lower each year”.
Strangely, none of the four right-wing papers who staunchly backed Brexit mentioned it on their news pages.
When Project Fear turns to Project Fact they turn their backs. Just like Europeans have on us. They must be so proud.
