2 die in electric car HQ plunge
EMERGENCY workers rush to reach victims of an electric car that plummeted from the third floor of a factory.
But their efforts proved in vain as the two occupants died in Shanghai, China.
The car fell more than 40ft from the headquarters of electric car maker NIO.
One victim was a NIO worker, the other from a partner company. The cause of the accident is not known.
The third floor has been described as a showroom, testing facility and car park.
NIO said the incident was not caused by the vehicle.
The firm expressed its deepest condolences.
