Oh honey! You look un-bee-liveable!

Yes, Rowan Atkinson must be buzzing as he’s the latest star to get his own statue – and outside St Paul’s Cathedral to boot.

This wildflower sculpture was created by The British Bee Charity and Netflix, to celebrate Rowan’s new comedy Man vs Bee and, more importantly, raise awareness of the current urban pollen shortage.

Apparently many inner-city bees are struggling to survive on the streets because of a lack of available resources.

So in a plan much more cunning than any of Baldrick’s, Rowan’s statue is packed full of flowers, nectar and pollen, and Netflix is giving away thousands of wildflower seeds so the public can plant them in urban spaces.

Let’s hope loads end up around Westminster.

It would be nice if the politicians, not the taxpayers, got stung for a change.
