It’s sure to be Alright

ROYAL ASCOT form gets a quick chance for a boost in the Jenningsbet Northumberland Plate (3.30) at Newcastle.

A number of runners come on from the big meeting but the way ALRIGHT SUNSHINE hit the line hard in the Copper Horse Handicap particularly caught the eye.

GLEN SHIEL ran three fine efforts in Group 1 class last season so don’t write off the old-timer just yet. His most recent try on the all-weather two years ago produced one of his career-best displays too, so expect a bold show in the Group 3 Chipchase Stakes (2.25).

While Desert Crown won the Derby cosily, there’s no denying that the fast finishing thirdplaced WESTOVER would have given him a race had he avoided interference earlier.

With triple Irish champion Colin Keane (above) coming in for the ride, he gets a swfit chance for compensation in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby (3.45).
