Labour’s pickets row deepens
LABOUR has insisted a “serious party of government” does not join picket lines amid an internal rail strikes row.
Senior MPs defied leader Keir Starmer by backing RMT members at walkouts last week. Shadow Foreign Secretary David Lammy, left, told the BBC that several front-benchers risk disciplinary action, sparking anger among the Labour left. He added he “categorically” does not support a potential strike by BA check-in staff.
Unite union chief Sharon Graham said: “Supporting bad bosses is a new low for Labour and once again shows that politicians have failed.”
