Star dazzles in £35k jewels
EMMA Raducanu enjoyed a dazzling return to Wimbledon yesterday with a victory on her Centre Court debut.
And it was a truly sparkling performance as she wore more than £35,000 worth of Tiffany jewellery.
The US Open champion, 19, was cheered on by a packed stadium as she defeated Belgian Alison
Van Uytvanck.
Emma, who is now said to be worth around £10million, wore £7,575 pearl and diamond drop earrings and a £3,875 matching pendant.
She also sported a £18,900 diamond hinged bangle and an 18-karat £5,600 white diamond ring.
After the 6-4 6-4 win, Emma thanked fans for their support, adding: “I looked at the crowd and the noise was just amazing to hear.” Stars including TV host Holly Willoughby and Sir Cliff Richard flocked to the opening day. And fans refused to let the showers ruin their day. Wimbledon was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid and last year it had limited capacity. Former champ Boris Becker was notable by his absence and is understood to be watching the event from jail after his bankruptcy fraud case. Pundit John McEnroe said of his BBC colleague: “We love you, Boris, and we miss you, man.”
