Kissing

Don’t worry, kissing doesn’t cause cancer. You can, however, catch the human papillomav­irus (HPV) through sex, oral sex, and skin-to-skin contact. HPV is linked to cervical and throat cancers, so it’s important to practise safe sex. Get a HPV vaccinatio­n if you’re eligible.

Getting kicked in the balls

All men will testify this is breathtaki­ngly painful, but it won’t give you cancer. Do regular checks on your testicles as testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 18-35.

Eating jelly babies

Carry on eating jelly babies, they don’t cause cancer. Food colourings in them need to pass strict tests to make sure they’re safe but there’s no evidence to show food colourings are linked to cancer.

Keeping your phone in your bra

Don’t panic – keeping your phone in your bra won’t cause cancer.
