SHE SHOULD BE MARRYING ME, NOT HER FIANCE

I’ve had a female friend for more than a decade whom I’ve always been close to. We met as students and became fast friends, and kept in touch over the years.

I was in a long-term relationship until recently and started thinking about my friend and realised that I’ve always loved her.

I was about to get a train to visit her and admit how I feel when she put out on Instagram that she’d got engaged to her boyfriend. My timing is obviously not great.

My best mate has advised me not to say anything to her now she’s getting married, but is he right?
