HEY JUDE, YOU HAVE MATCHED THEO IN RECORD

-

ENGLAND’S Jude Bellingham was on the scoresheet as Borussia Dortmund cruised to a 3-0 victory over FC Copenhagen in their Champions League Group G opener.

Captain Marco Reus rifled in for the lead in the 35th minute, before Raphael Guerreiro added another just before the break.

Bellingham (top) made it 3-0 in the 83rd minute with the hosts powered on by the famed ‘Yellow Wall’ with 25,000 standing fans.

Governing body UEFA has allowed standing fans in some matches in Europe this season, boosting capacity for some teams.

Bellingham said: “We’ve got some tough trips to come. Tonight was a massive game and people maybe don’t realise how important the first game is.

The Three Lions international equalled Theo Walcott’s record of being the only two English teenagers to make 17 Champions League appearances.

“The key for us is to try and be as consistent as possible, work hard to stay in the competitions as long as possible. If we can stay on this path I think we’ll be all right,” added Bellingham.

Kylian Mbappe (above) scored twice in the first half as Paris Saint-Germain beat Juventus 2-1 in Group H.

Weston McKennie reduced the deficit for the Italian side in the 53rd minute but it wasn’t enough.

AC Milan had to come from behind to secure a point in a 1-1 draw at Red Bull Salzburg in Group E.

Noah Okafor opened the scoring for the hosts in the 28th minute, before Alexis Saelemaekers equalised in the 40th minute.

Former Celtic winger Maryan Shved scored twice as Shakhtar Donestsk thrashed RB Leipzig 4-1 in Group F.

Shved’s second came just a minute after Pascal Simakan had levelled for the hosts.

Mykhaylo Maudryk and Lassina Traore scored in the 76th and 85th minute respectively as the German club were blown away.

Benfica had to wait until the second half at home to Maccabi Haifa before breaking through.

Alexandre Rafa Silva pounced after 49 minutes and Alex Grimaldo wrapped up a 2-0 win five minutes later.
