Failures on Covid ‘killed disabled’ says Corrie star

DISABLED people were killed by the Government’s Covid failure, says Coronation Street actress Cherylee Houston.
The star, who plays Izzy Armstrong on the ITV soap, blasted Tory ministers for not providing a British sign language interpreter at press conferences.
Six in 10 people who died with the virus were disabled. “People were dying because of lack of info,” she told the Mirror’s Disabled Britain: Doing It For Ourselves fringe event. Cherylee, 48, who has rare tissue disorder, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, added: “It makes me want to cry. It was just outrageous that people were being left to die.
