Khan’s staff travel boost
THOUSANDS of cleaners, catering and security staff will be able to travel for free on London’s transport network by April.
Mayor Sadiq Khan announced the cost-ofliving boost for 5,000 lowwage workers who supply Transport for London.
The policy is estimated to cost £10million in lost fares, funded out of Mr Khan’s City Hall budget.
He said: “London’s transport workers play an essential role in keeping our city’s network safe.”
