TIME is running out for 300,000 households to get a £150 council tax rebate to help with the rising cost of living.

All households in council tax bands A to D are due to get the assistance.

Those who pay for council tax by direct debit got the money automatically this year.

But people who do not pay by direct debit need to make a claim to get the funds – and hundreds of thousands still haven’t.
