Train drivers’ new strike at 12 operators

-

TRAIN drivers at 12 operators are to stage a fresh strike in the long-running dispute over pay.

Aslef members will walk out on November 26.

The union said it is still waiting for a pay offer from bosses, despite talks.

General secretary Mick Whelan said: “We want the companies, which are making huge profit, to make a proper pay offer so our members can keep up with the cost of living.”

The Rail Delivery Group said that Aslef ’s decision “will cause real disruption to passengers”.

The Department for Transport called the strike action “self-defeating”.
